The resort sits directly on the Gulf of Mexico with 152.4 m of sugar-white sand. Destin Beach is a 6-minute stroll away, and Big Kahuna's Water Park is just 500 metres across the street. Destin Harbor Boardwalk is 4 km from the property, and Fort Walton Beach Park is 11 km away. Several restaurants, including Cabana Cafe, Sundestin Bar and Grill, and Shake's Frozen Custard, are within 2 to 3 km. Silver Sands Premium Outlets and golf courses are a short drive away, and the area is known as 'the world's luckiest fishing village' for saltwater angling. The location provides both immediate beach access and a walkable strip of dining and activities.

Units range from Deluxe Studios (1 queen bed + 1 queen sofa sleeper, full kitchen, sleeps 4) to 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments that can sleep up to 8 people. Each unit is equipped with a fully equipped kitchen (stovetop, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher or kitchenware), dining area, seating area, flat-screen TV with cable channels, and a private patio or balcony. Some units have a private entrance. Bed configurations vary: 2-bed units offer 2 beds, while 3-bed units offer 4 beds. Some units feature a private washer/dryer. Units in the older Phase 1 section are dated, with worn furniture, potential mildew smell, and less comfortable mattresses. Phase 2 units are generally more updated. Requesting a gulf view is possible at booking but not guaranteed. Some rooms have a parking-lot view, and road- or laundry-facing rooms may experience noise. A studio is best suited for 2 adults or 2 adults with 2 children; 4 adults may feel cramped.

Breakfast availability depends on the unit; there is no resort-operated restaurant or restaurant on-site. A variety of restaurants are within easy reach: Cabana Cafe and Sundestin Bar and Grill are 2 km away, while Sweetie's Ice Cream & Candy Store, The Pancakery, Mellow Mushroom, Fuji Sushi and Seafood Buffet, and Que Pasa Mexican Kitchen & Tequila are all about 3 km from the resort. A seafood market a short walk up the drive offers steam-and-go shrimp, and there are nearby grocery stores for self-catering. The units' full kitchens make preparing meals a convenient option.

The property features a seasonally heated outdoor swimming pool and a year-round outdoor pool, both kept clean. A hot tub/Jacuzzi is available as well. The fitness centre includes a treadmill, upright bike, strength equipment, and free weights. Outdoor tennis courts are free to use, with rackets and balls available at the front desk. There is also a beach volleyball court and a basketball court. The game room has pool, ping pong, and air hockey. The resort has a private beach area with boardwalks, sun terrace, picnic area, BBQ grills, and lounge area with scheduled guest socials in the Islander Room. No spa or wellness centre is on-site. Some units may be under renovation, but this typically does not interfere with leisure access.

A coin-operated laundry facility is provided. The lobby is open from 8:00 to 21:00, and the resort elevator serves all floors. Wheelchair access is possible via ramps from the parking lot, and all areas can be reached without stairs, though stairs exist throughout the property. Safety features include 24-hour security, fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, and key card access. A safety deposit box is available at no charge. An airport shuttle is not available. Reception is closed outside of lobby hours, and late or early check-in/out is handled through special requests. Staff are noted as friendly and helpful.
