The area is vibrant but a construction site next door may cause daytime noise. Despite the central location, rooms are generally quiet at night due to soundproofing. The Esplanade park is nearby for a relaxing stroll.

Room options include female-only dorms with a lounge and make-up table, mixed dorms (4-8 beds), twin private, double private, and a single premium room (no window). Under-bed storage drawers require a padlock (available at reception). There is no air conditioning; rooms can become warm in summer, and some windows cannot open. Thin mattresses may affect comfort, and bed bugs have been identified; pest control is conducted. Overall, the accommodation is clean and well-maintained, with a focus on privacy and practicality.

The kitchen includes a stove, microwave, refrigerator, and utensils - ideal for preparing meals. Grocery deliveries can be arranged (charge applies). Numerous cafes, restaurants, and bars are within a few minutes' walk, offering everything from morning coffee to evening dining.

There is no spa or pool. The hostel organises free walking tours, movie nights, live sport broadcasts, and occasional events like international dinners. Bike tours are available for an additional charge. The common area is a social hub but respects quiet hours at night.
