AMERICAS BEST VALUE INN LOMA LODGE, San Diego

The hotel is situated on Rosecrans Street, a main road providing easy access to freeways and public transport. The Old Town Transportation Center is 2 km away, and MTS bus stops are nearby. The surrounding area is dense with restaurants, grocery stores (Sprouts, Ralphs, Target), and shops. Liberty Station with its park and dining options is within walking distance. The location is ideal for connecting to the airport, downtown, and major attractions, though the busy road can contribute to traffic noise.

The property offers double (1 bed), family (3 beds), and quadruple (2 beds) rooms. Rooms are older and show signs of wear, with some having thin mattresses, stained bedding, or dated furnishings. Cleanliness can be inconsistent, with some rooms having hair, mold, or stains. Noise from the road and neighboring rooms is common; rooms at the back of the building are quieter. Amenities are basic: no coffee maker, hair dryer, iron, or luggage rack. The open-plan closet with metal frame is functional but minimal. Air conditioning is available but can be loud. The property has no elevator, so upper-floor rooms require stairs.

For meals, the surrounding area offers numerous options within walking distance, including Einstein Bros. Bagels (0.5 km), Antique Thai Cuisine (0.5 km), and Native Foods Cafe (0.5 km). A grocery store (Sprouts) is across the street for self-catering supplies. The room includes a microwave and refrigerator, making it easy to store and prepare simple meals. There is no on-site bar or evening dining.
