GARNER HOTEL VIENNA BY IHG, Vienna

The hotel is located directly opposite the central train station, giving direct rail access across Vienna and to the airport. The U1 metro line and several tram lines stop within a two-minute walk, making the city centre easily reachable in 15 minutes without a car. Belvedere Palace, Karlskirche, and the Museum of Military History are all within walking distance. The surrounding streets have several restaurants, pizzerias, and a minimarket. The hotel is on a busy six-lane road with tram lines, so rooms facing the street can experience significant noise - requesting a courtyard-facing room is recommended for lighter sleepers.

All rooms include a private bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Each room has a flat-screen TV with cable channels, soundproof walls, a seating area, and a safe deposit box. Parquet flooring and a work desk are standard. Family rooms add a sofa bed. There is no air conditioning - only a fan is provided. Some rooms face an inner courtyard, which is noticeably quieter than those facing the main road. Windows can be opened for ventilation, but street noise can be intrusive. No rooms have a balcony, minibar, or fridge. Rooms are clean and basic, suited for a short stay or transit stop.

The breakfast buffet includes bread, pastries, cheese, fruit, juice, and coffee. It is served from approximately 07:30 to 11:30. The hotel does not have a restaurant for lunch or dinner, but a snack bar and vending machines are available in the lobby for drinks and light bites. Special diet menus can be requested. Wine or champagne may also be ordered at an additional cost. A number of restaurants, pizzerias, and cafés are within a 300-500 metre walk, including Café Goldener Löwe, Pizzeria Venezia, and Coffee Fellows.

On-site leisure amenities are limited to vending machines and a snack bar. The surrounding area offers an ice-skating rink and boating opportunities, but these are not part of the hotel grounds. For recreation, guests can walk to Belvedere Palace or explore the nearby city park.
