B&B CASA RIOLETTA, Bologna

The property is located in a remote and exceptionally quiet forest area in the Appennino, surrounded by oaks with panoramic mountain views. Only a few houses exist in the immediate vicinity, providing absolute peace. A mountain refuge (Rifugio Rioletta) is a 2-minute walk away for meals. The lake of Castel dell'Alpi is a 40-minute walk. The location is well-placed for both Bologna and Florence, roughly midway, making day trips feasible after the quiet of the forest. Access is via a scenic mountain road; a video of the route is typically provided by the host. Signal can be sporadic, and the road is narrow in parts.

The holiday home offers generous space for families or groups. It consists of a living room, 4 separate bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms with shower and bidet. The three upstairs double bedrooms provide comfortable sleeping, while a sofa bed on the ground floor adds flexibility. The property includes a fireplace, a washing machine, ironing facilities, central heating with individual room controls, and quality furnishings with some original 1960s/70s details. Units provide lake views and an outdoor dining area. Beds and pillows are noted for comfort. A second bathroom is included, which is especially useful for larger groups.

Breakfast is served as an Italian-style meal with juice, pastries, yogurt, fruit, and coffee. It can be taken to go. The host often provides a rich, varied spread including homemade muffins. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, coffee machine, and all cookware, making self-catering straightforward. A barbecue is available for outdoor cooking. For dining out, a mountain refuge is within a 2-minute walk and offers a well-regarded evening meal.

The property features a free outdoor hot tub which requires some advance warming time. Also available are an open-air bath, solarium, and sun loungers. The expansive forest location allows hiking and cycling directly from the house. The garden and picnic area enhance the relaxation experience. The area is suited for nature walks, runs, and digital detox given the quiet setting. Board games are provided for indoor entertainment.

The property offers fast free Wi-Fi (328 Mbps, suitable for 4K streaming). Free private parking is available on site with no reservation needed. Express check-in/check-out and private check-in are offered. Daily housekeeping is provided. Pets are allowed on request; charges may apply.
