CENTRO HOTEL CITY GATE, Hamburg

Rooms are consistently described as spacious and clean, with modern decoration, carpeted floors, a sitting area, and a flat-screen TV. Each has a private bathroom with shower (curtain rather than cabin) and free toiletries. Beds are large and comfortable, with good mattresses and fresh linen. The main downside is the lack of air conditioning; rooms have large windows that open, but on hot days (above 28°C) this gives little relief and the street noise becomes intrusive, making sleep difficult. Walls are thin, so noise from adjacent rooms and the corridor can also be an issue. Some rooms face the street and are noisier; rooms at the back are quieter. The interior design is somewhat dark, requiring lights even on sunny days. Some rooms have a balcony shared with the next room, which can be affected by neighbours smoking. Overall, rooms are well-suited for travellers who prioritise space, cleanliness, and central location over absolute quiet or luxury.
