DAYS INN BY WYNDHAM PORTLAND EAST, Portland

Recent renovations have updated many rooms, featuring comfortable beds with four pillows. Rooms include air conditioning, a hairdryer, ironing facilities, and a work desk. The shower is a standing unit; rooms do not have bathtubs. Some rooms offer views of a construction site or are on the back side overlooking a lot, so requesting a higher floor away from the road is recommended. Windows can be opened for fresh air. While many rooms are clean and spacious, some may show signs of wear, and cleanliness can vary. For light sleepers, rooms on upper floors or away from the road are best.

The continental breakfast is included in the stay and offers a reliable morning meal of waffles, biscuits and gravy, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, pastries, cereal, juice, and coffee. The breakfast room can get crowded, especially during peak times, so taking the food back to the room is an option. 24-hour coffee is available in the lobby. For other meals, several fast-food restaurants are adjacent to the hotel, and Elmer's Restaurant is a short walk away.

The hotel features a heated indoor swimming pool, open all year, which is on the smaller side but well-suited for a refreshing dip. The fitness center provides a basic workout option. Both facilities are free for guests. The pool deck may show some wear, but the water temperature is generally well-regarded.

Free on-site parking is available with no reservation needed. Wi-Fi is free, though its reliability can vary by room location and floor. The hotel has a 24-hour front desk and a business center with fax/photocopying. Daily housekeeping is provided, but consistency can vary; requesting fresh linens is advisable. The property is non-smoking and has a designated smoking area. Safety features include CCTV, fire extinguishers, security alarms, and smoke alarms. Luggage storage and laundry services are available. There is no internet access in guest rooms, only via Wi-Fi.
