HOMEWOOD SUITES BY HILTON CHARLOTTE AIRPORT, Charlotte

The hotel sits a few minutes' drive from Charlotte Douglas International Airport, with a free 24-hour shuttle. The immediate area is dominated by airport infrastructure and a gas station, so walking to retail or dining is limited. A Subway restaurant is located right next door. Key destinations like Bank of America Stadium, the NASCAR Hall of Fame, and Billy Graham Library are within a short drive. The property itself sits on a quiet street suitable for jogging, and freeway access is straightforward for downtown or business parks.

Rooms range from one-bedroom king suites to two-bedroom suites, all with a separate living area, sofa bed, and at least one flat-screen TV. Kitchens include a full-size refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and a full set of dishes, glassware, cutlery, and cooking utensils. The bathroom sink is located in the open bedroom area, separate from the shower/toilet enclosure. Accommodation shows signs of age: carpet wear, older furniture, and visible staining in some rooms. Road-facing or exit-adjacent rooms can pick up hallway noise. Air conditioning has been reported as slow to cool rooms on very warm days.

The full hot breakfast includes scrambled eggs, sausages, waffles, pancakes, yogurt, fruit, bagels, cereal, and beverages. The weekday evening social (Monday-Thursday) offers hotdogs, snacks, salad, draft beer, and wine, providing a substantial free meal. The reception also includes a selection of wine and local craft beer on draft. Coffee is available throughout the day in the lobby. For additional dining, a Subway occupies the adjacent building, and the airport terminal dining is accessible via the shuttle. Breakfast options are simpler on certain days and availability of hot items can be inconsistent.

The seasonal outdoor heated swimming pool includes a shallow end. A poolside sun terrace and outdoor furniture are available, along with BBQ facilities for guest use. The fitness centre is free and offers basic equipment adequate for a standard workout. A small basketball court is also on-site. The patio area is shaded and provides a relaxed outdoor space. Pool towels must be requested from the front desk.

The free public parking is available on-site with no reservation needed, including accessible spaces. The free airport shuttle operates around the clock, though wait times can exceed 30 minutes during busy periods. A free business centre is available, and meeting/banquet facilities can be reserved for an additional charge. Laundry and dry-cleaning services are offered for a fee. The 24-hour front desk provides express check-in/out and luggage storage. Pets are allowed on request with applicable charges. The property is fully non-smoking, wheelchair accessible, and features a lift. Wi-Fi is free throughout and reported as fast for standard use.
