HOTEL MICRO, Stockholm

Hotel Micro sits in the basement of Hotel Tegnerlunden, on a quiet street bordering Tegnérlunden park. The main shopping street Drottninggatan is a 3-minute walk away. Restaurants, cafés, and bars cluster on nearby streets like Rådmansgatan. The Rådmansgatan metro station is about 5 minutes away, giving direct access to the airport (Arlanda Express from Central Station) and all major attractions. The city bus stops about 100 metres from the entrance. While the central location makes almost everything reachable on foot, the walk back from the station involves a slight uphill gradient.

Room sizes range from approximately 4 to 6 m2, with a double bed on the bottom and a single bunk on top, or twin bunk arrangements. A desk and chair are provided, along with a wall mirror and a few hooks. No wardrobe, TV, or kettle are in the room. The lower bunk is comfortable for one person but a tight fit for two larger adults. Ceiling heights can be low; taller travellers may need to watch their head on the upper bed. A small fan is supplied for ventilation, but there is no air conditioning. Noise levels vary - sound travels through the corridor and ventilation shafts, and doors with self-closing mechanisms can slam. Rooms near the communal lounge pick up more noise.

The breakfast bag costs approximately 70-105 SEK and includes a ham/cheese bun, apple, small juice, and coffee. It must be ordered with a specific pick-up time (e.g. 9:00, not a one-hour window). The breakfast bag is prepared by the main Tegnerlunden Hotel kitchen. Several cafés and bakeries on Drottninggatan and surrounding streets serve full breakfast dishes; a 7-Eleven and Lidl supermarket (near Rådmansgatan metro) are a 5-minute walk for self-catering supplies. The hotel's own Knut Restaurang & Bar offers food and drink in the evenings.

The hotel does not have a gym, sauna, pool, or spa. The adjacent Tegnérlunden park provides green space for walks or sitting out. For leisure activities, the city's cultural attractions, shops, and nightlife are all within walking distance.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas, though signal strength can be weak in some basement rooms. The 24-hour reception is shared with Hotel Tegnerlunden, with friendly and helpful staff. Luggage storage is available free of charge before check-in and after check-out. The communal lounge for hotel micro guests has sofas, a TV, and a microwave. No hair dryer or toiletries (except shower gel in the showers) are provided in the shared bathrooms. Key card access is used for every door, so the card must be carried for bathroom visits.
