NEW GOLDEN HOUSE, Rome

The property is situated within a 1-3 minute walk of Roma Termini, Italy's main railway hub, giving direct access to metro lines A and B, regional trains, and Leonardo Express airport trains. The SIT airport bus stop is also within a 3-minute walk. The area immediately around Termini is busy, with many budget eateries, minimarkets, and cafés. Several restaurants including Hosteria La Stazione and Casina delle Terme are within 0.5 km. While the neighbourhood is central, the building itself has no external sign - the address must be located via maps and a buzzer system.

Rooms are equipped with beds, white linens, an electric kettle, and a shared wardrobe - no private lockers are provided, and room doors do not lock. Some rooms have no external window, relying on internal ventilation. A fan is available in some rooms for airflow. Noise from the street and from staff socialising in the adjacent area can be an issue, particularly for light sleepers. The property is a converted apartment with mixed-gender rooms, not separate female dorms. Mattresses and pillows are generally comfortable, though the overall standard is very basic and dated.

Breakfast is offered each morning from the reception desk: typically a single pre-packaged croissant or other sweet pastry, plus a cup of tea or coffee. There is no buffet, no hot cooked options, and no self-service kitchen for guest use. For those wanting a fuller breakfast or lunch, several cafés and restaurants are a short walk away on the streets around Termini. There is no on-site restaurant or bar. The property has a small shared refrigerator and kettle, but no functional cooking facilities.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property with adequate signal. Daily housekeeping is provided at no charge, with beds made and linens refreshed. Towels are supplied. Luggage storage is available after check-out for an additional fee - it must be requested and paid for in cash. There is no on-site parking. The property has two small shared bathrooms (one male, one female), each with a shower and toilet. These are cleaned daily but can become busy and less clean during peak use. The building entry system does not use working keys - guests are buzzed in by staff or other occupants, which can cause delays.
