The property is reached via a narrow alley from Khaosan Road. The alley is unlit and can be unpleasant at night, and the building is not signposted, making the first arrival difficult. Once inside, the immediate area offers constant street food stalls, convenience stores, beer bars and massage shops. The Grand Palace is within a 10-minute walk, and Wat Pho and other historic temples are also easily reached on foot. Tuk-tuks and taxis are readily available on the main road. Although the soi is adjacent to the party strip, the building itself is set back enough that street noise is not overwhelming in all rooms. The alley is often dirty and can be slippery when wet. Those arriving by public transport will find the nearest bus routes several minutes away; the closest river ferry pier is about 20 minutes on foot.

Room sizes are small, barely enough for two people to open suitcases at the same time. Beds are generally comfortable with clean sheets, though some have reported stained bedding and pillows. Private bathrooms are available and are often larger than in nearby sister properties. The bathroom is a wet room where the shower is directly above the toilet; water pressure can be weak and drainage slow. Some rooms have windows that open onto internal hallways rather than outside, so they offer no real ventilation and no daylight. Rooms on the third floor and above involve carrying luggage up narrow stairs. Air conditioning units are old, noise during operation and struggle to cool the room in hot weather. Noise from the corridor and from outside can be a problem, especially in rooms facing the street. Light sleepers should request a room away from the road and from the dining area. The rooms are suited to a one- or two-night stay for travellers who plan to spend most of their time out and about.

Wi-Fi reception in the lobby can be slow and unreliable, and connections in rooms require a paid upgrade. The 24-hour front desk staff can assist with basic requests, but their English is limited and they are not consistently proactive. Room cleaning is upon request and must be asked for before 1pm; it may not be done thoroughly or at all despite the request. Luggage storage is free. Laundry and ironing services are available for an additional charge. Safety deposit boxes are available free of charge at reception. Security includes 24-hour CCTV and key-card access to the building. The property does not have a lift. There is no parking. An agency immediately outside the hotel can arrange tours and airport transfers, but travellers should confirm vehicle size and luggage capacity before booking. Fax and photocopying services are available for a fee. No soap or shampoo is provided in rooms; guests must bring their own.
