SMART MINI HOTEL, Vienna

The hotel is in a practical, functional neighbourhood about 10-15 minutes on foot from Wien Hauptbahnhof (Vienna Central Station), giving direct rail access to the airport and other major cities. Bus stop (line 59A to Karlsplatz) is about 5 minutes away, with trams and a metro station (U1) roughly a 10-15 minute walk. The immediate area contains a number of Turkish and Armenian grocery stores and fast-food options within 0.5 km, including Restaurant Sofia, To Syrtaki, and Omnom Burger. Public parking nearby is paid and can be challenging due to one-way streets. The location is considered decent for transport connections, though the neighbourhood itself is described as simple and without major attractions.

Double rooms are compact and minimally furnished: a small desk, a chair, a double bed, a microwave, an electric kettle, a fan, and a reading light. Some rooms have a window that opens. Air conditioning is not available; heating radiators are functional. The shared bathrooms (shower and WC) are described as spacious and cleaned daily, but noise from other guests using the toilets can be significant. Sound insulation between rooms is poor, making hallway and neighbouring room noise (talking, snoring, door sounds) clearly audible. Some rooms may have a broken window handle, and the window in the shared bathroom may not open. Bed quality varies: some find the mattress comfortable, others report it worn with a noticeable dip. For very light sleepers or those wanting more than a basic bed to sleep in, this setup may feel too simple.

The property does not operate a restaurant, bar, or provide breakfast. A shared kitchen on the ground floor includes basic utensils, a fridge, and a microwave; additionally, each room has its own microwave and electric kettle. Several fast-food and sit-down restaurants are within a 5-10 minute walk, including Turkish and Armenian options, pizza, burgers, and a few traditional Viennese pubs. This configuration works best for guests who plan to eat out or prepare simple self-catered meals.

Wi-Fi is free and available in all areas. Luggage can be left at the hotel before check-in or after check-out. There is no reception desk; access is via self check-in using a code sent in advance; a video tutorial is provided. The lock system uses codes for all doors. A washing machine and detergent are available in the shared bathroom at no extra charge. The shared bathrooms are cleaned daily, and the kitchen is also maintained. Contact with the owner is through a mobile phone number and is generally responsive. The building has a ground floor and an upper floor; there is no lift. A small extra WC is located near the entrance on the ground floor. Some guests have reported occasional issues with the lock system not working on the first attempt.
