SURESTAY HOTEL BY BEST WESTERN SAN JOSE AIRPORT, San Jose

The hotel's position on N 1st Street places it within a cluster of airport hotels, making it straightforward to find by car. The Gish light rail station is within walking distance, providing direct access to downtown San Jose and Levi's Stadium, which can save on event parking costs. A 7-Eleven is a one-minute walk away, and several dining options like Karlita's Taco Place, Izakaya Restaurant, and Menara Moroccan Restaurant are within half a kilometer. The immediate area is practical for transit and car travel, but some have found the neighborhood to feel less secure late at night, particularly when walking to rooms at the back of the property.

The free breakfast is a basic offering, typically including coffee, packaged pastries, muffins, yogurt, fruit, and cold cereal. It functions as a light start to the day but is not a full meal. For a more substantial option, the on-site Denny's is open 24 hours and provides a convenient alternative for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Several other restaurants, including an Izakaya and a Moroccan restaurant, are within a short walk, making it easy to find a range of cuisines nearby.

The hotel provides an outdoor swimming pool for guest relaxation. The pool is open all year and includes a fence around it. While some have found it a pleasant spot to unwind in the afternoon, the pool's cleanliness and the operational state of its gate have been points of inconsistency.

Parking is free and on-site, requiring no reservation, which is practical for guests with vehicles. The front desk is staffed 24 hours and offers luggage storage free of charge. Laundry and fax/photocopying are available for an additional fee. The hotel is pet-friendly, though charges may apply. Wi-Fi is free but has been reported as slow or barely usable, making it unsuitable for video calls or reliable work. Housekeeping service has been described as inconsistent, with some rooms not being serviced daily despite requests. There is no airport shuttle available.
