Surf Rider Resort sits directly across S Ocean Blvd from the Atlantic Ocean, providing immediate beach access through a secure gate. The private beach area is quiet and uncrowded. A free shuttle runs to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea Beach. Pompano Pier is 3 km away. Nearby essentials include a Publix supermarket within a 5-minute drive or 20-minute walk, and a variety of restaurants and bars along Commercial Boulevard about a 35-minute walk away. The Intercoastal Waterway is just behind the complex. Free on-site parking and easy car access make it convenient for those driving. The area is also suitable for cycling and jogging.

Choose between 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom suites, each with a private bathroom (all condos have private bathrooms). Every unit includes a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, stovetop, full-size refrigerator, and cookware, plus a dining table and a separate living area with a Murphy bed for extra sleeping. In-unit washer and dryer are standard. Accommodations on the ground floor (1-bedroom only) feature a private patio; 2-bedroom suites on the 2nd and 3rd floors have a balcony. Units are carpeted and come with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and a CD player. While spacious and clean, some units may have dated fixtures and decor; ocean views are not available.

The resort does not have a restaurant or breakfast service, though breakfast may be available as an add-on depending on the date selected. Each suite has a full kitchen, making self-catering easy. Vending machines for drinks and snacks are on site. For eating out, a wide range of restaurants from casual diners to more upscale options are within 2 km in either direction, and a large supermarket (Publix) is within walking distance for groceries. A weekly complimentary lunch (e.g., grilled hot dogs) may be offered by the staff.

The outdoor heated swimming pool is large, clean, and open year-round, fitted with a fence around it and swimming pool toys. Sun loungers and beach chairs (available to rent for a weekly fee) are provided, and umbrellas are available at an additional charge. The hot tub is immaculate and open, with a two-person limit. A tennis court is free to use, and there is also a shuffleboard area and a private beach area across the street with secure access. The lush garden and picnic area offer outdoor furniture and a shared lounge/TV area for relaxing.

Free private parking is available on site without reservation, including accessible spaces. All rooms have free WiFi, with reliable connectivity for video calls. The 24-hour front desk can assist with requests, and luggage storage is available before check-in or after check-out. A full-size coin-operated washer and dryer is inside every unit. Additional services include a business centre, fax/photocopying for a fee, and room service.
