THE ROSE APARTMENT - NEAR SCHOENBRUNN PALACE, Vienna

The apartment sits directly off Meidling station, offering metro, bus, tram, and train links to all parts of Vienna - including the city centre and Schönbrunn Palace. A supermarket, mall, and convenience store are within a 5-minute walk. Despite the proximity to the station, the apartment is quiet. Guests arriving by car must use the WIPARK at Pottendorferstrasse 16 (€14.50/day); street parking is free only on weekends on unmarked spots. The location suits car-free travellers and families wanting easy access to sights.

The apartment features two separate bedrooms, each with a comfortable double bed (mattresses are on the firmer side), and a functional circular layout that allows access to the toilet and bathroom without walking through bedrooms. The bathroom is large with a bath, hairdryer, and free toiletries; slippers are provided. The full kitchen includes a stovetop, oven, refrigerator, electric kettle, and dining table, plus starter supplies of tea, coffee, oil, and salt. Rooms are warm and well-heated, with free air conditioning available in summer. The interior is clean, well-furnished, and decorated in a simple, comfortable style. The apartment is on the second floor with no lift; the building is historic and has some visible wear in shared hallways.

Guests can prepare meals using the full kitchen (stovetop, oven, refrigerator, kettle, cookware, and dining table) with basic starter supplies of tea, coffee, oil, and salt provided. A minimarket is on the ground floor for daily essentials, and a supermarket (Lidl, Billa) is within a 5-minute walk. Several restaurants are nearby, including Zobel (0.5 km), Tozi Korean Kitchen (0.5 km), Little Italy (0.5 km), and Konoba Bellini (0.5 km), along with a takeaway kiosk for rolls. A pub is also across the road.

The apartment does not have its own pool, spa, sauna, or gym. For leisure, Schönbrunn Palace and its extensive gardens are within easy walking distance, and the excellent public transport connections make it simple to reach Vienna's parks, museums, and cultural attractions.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas. The apartment uses a self-check-in system with a key lockbox, making arrival independent of reception hours. A minimarket is on the ground floor for convenience. Pets are allowed (charges may apply). The host communicates promptly and is responsive to requests; late check-out is sometimes possible if arranged beforehand. There is no lift, no on-site parking, and no laundry service (though a washing machine is in the apartment). Smoking is not allowed inside. The building has smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and key access for safety.
