A SAN PIETRO DA SUSY, Rome

Cipro and Ottaviano metro stations are each about a 700 m walk away. The Vatican is within a 15-minute stroll, while the Colosseum and other central attractions are reachable by metro in a few stops. The surrounding neighbourhood offers fresh food markets one block over, plus multiple restaurants and cafés within a 5-10 minute walk. Car access is via a one-way street; free public parking is available nearby but requires a reservation. A taxi can drop passengers directly at the front door.

The apartment includes a large entrance hall, a sitting/dining room, and a small but well-equipped kitchen with a Gaggia coffee machine. Each bedroom has a direct dial telephone, satellite TV (including BBC News), and individual air conditioning. The furniture includes period pieces that lend character, although the living room sofas are worn and the dining chairs are more quaint than comfortable. Some rooms may have an older smell, and occasional dust is possible. The lift in the building helps with luggage to the first floor.

The kitchen has basic equipment suitable for preparing simple meals and breakfast; a grocery store is a couple of blocks away for fresh produce, cold cuts, and dairy. The owner provides local restaurant recommendations. Dozens of restaurants, cafés, and a historic bakery (Panificio Cappelletti dal 1962) are within 300-500 m on foot.

Public parking nearby is free but must be reserved. The owner can arrange airport shuttle transport and may allow luggage storage or late check-out for late flights. The building has an old-fashioned lift. Housekeeping is not daily, but the owner may enter during absence to close shutters. Guests receive keys for individual rooms and the apartment entrance.
