CreekFire RV Resort is located just off I-95, making it a convenient stopover or base for exploring Savannah and Tybee Island. Downtown Savannah is a 20-minute drive away, while the airport is 21 km from the resort. Nearby attractions include Savannah Mall Shopping Center (13 km) and Hunter Golf Course (17 km). The area also offers easy access to historic sites like Fort McAllister and Fort Pulaski. For those without a car, a shuttle service to Savannah operates Wednesday through Saturday, or a private driver can be arranged (around $20 each way). The surrounding neighbourhood is described as quiet, but the immediate area off the interstate can feel less secure.

The resort offers a range of options: premium RV sites (concrete pull-through and back-in) with full hook-ups, as well as on-site cottages (small cabins, 37 m²). All units include air-conditioning, a private bathroom with a shower, and a fully equipped kitchen with a stovetop, oven, refrigerator, and cookware. Each unit has a dining area, sofa bed, seating area, flat-screen TV, tea/coffee maker, and a patio. Parquet floors are standard. Bed configurations vary (units with either 3 or 5 beds). Some cabins may feel basic or dated, with wear and tear possible on door seals, blinds, and furniture. Road-facing RVs may be noisier, while lakeside sites offer more vegetation and wildlife.

The Lakehouse Restaurant is located on the lake and serves American fare such as burgers, seafood, and homemade peach cobbler, with a full bar and live music on some Saturday nights. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 16:00 to 21:00, but may be closed on some days due to fibre optic or staffing issues. The poolside bar and grill offers a smaller menu with items like wings, burgers, and drinks; however, it may also close early if understaffed. A camp store behind the office carries basic groceries and smore kits. For those who prefer to eat out, several cafés and restaurants are within a short drive, and the shuttle to Savannah provides access to a wider range of dining.

The resort features a large lazy river, a seasonal heated outdoor pool, a separate kiddie pool with splash pad and slides, and a hot tub situated near the pool area. An additional water play area (aqua park) is also available. The fitness centre contains basic equipment, though some machines may be out of order. Two hot tubs are present on the property, but their jets and heating are often non-functional. The pool area can become crowded on weekends, with limited shade and seating; arriving early is recommended. A walking and biking trail circles the lake, and there is an arcade, community fire pits for s'mores, and laundry facilities.

Wi-Fi is available free of charge in public areas but is often described as unreliable or too slow for streaming, especially when the park is full. Parking is free and private on-site, with concrete pads for RVs and no reservation required. The resort features a laundry room (usable 24/7 but with very few working machines), a camp store, propane refills, and golf cart and bicycle rentals. The security gates at the entrance are typically left open and have been non-functional for years. A property-wide theft advisory is provided at check-in, and off-duty police patrol primarily during midnight to 6 AM. Twice-daily garbage pickup at the site is a bonus. There are multiple dog parks on the property, though pet owners are advised to clean up after their animals.
