SMITHFIELD FOUNDRY, Dublin

The rooms are compact and practical, with a small double bed, heating, and a curtain for privacy. There is no TV, fridge, kettle, or tea/coffee-making facilities. The bathroom features a walk-in shower but no extractor fan, and some shower fixtures have been noted as requiring maintenance. Beds are often comfortable, though bedding quality may vary. Noise from internal corridors and adjacent rooms can be audible due to thin walls and multiple security doors. Windows open for ventilation, but street-facing rooms can be noisy. No in-room safe or clothes hangers are standard. The room is not cleaned during the stay; guests must dispose of their own rubbish before check-out.

The café is located in the lobby and provides a convenient breakfast option, offering a selection of baked goods and hot drinks, including fresh coffee. It is not included in the room rate. Nearby options are plentiful: a Tesco supermarket is a 2-minute walk, and several restaurants and pubs such as The Village Inn, K Chido Mexico, and The Church are within 5-10 minutes on foot. The shared kitchen on the floor is not available for guest use, and room cooking facilities are absent.

Wi-Fi requires a free account login and allows connection for one device per room. The lift serves all floors, making rooms accessible without stairs. Laundry services are available on-site. A games room is provided for leisure. The building has multiple secure access doors, CCTV in common areas and outdoors, fire extinguishers, and smoke alarms. Reception staff are available and speak English. No luggage storage is available inside the accommodation; a paid service nearby costs €11 for 2 bags for 3 hours. No housekeeping is provided during the stay.
