Cape May Public Beach is a 2-minute walk away. Cape May Convention Hall is 500 metres from the property. The Washington Street Mall, a pedestrian-only shopping district with nearly 100 stores, is half a block in the opposite direction. Emlen Physick Estate and The Colonial House are nearby. Atlantic City International Airport is 69 km away. With the free off-site parking and golf cart shuttle, a car can stay parked for the entire stay. The Mad Batter Restaurant & Bar is located on the ground floor of the hotel.

Rooms are individually decorated and many have been updated with modern bathrooms featuring heated floors. Some rooms offer ocean views (rooms 4, 6, 13, and 28 are ocean-view; 6 and 28 are suites). Rooms include a refrigerator, cable TV, CD player, and free toiletries. No in-room coffee maker, but complimentary coffee is served in the parlor from 7:15-7:30. The three-floor building has no elevator, so upper-floor rooms are quieter but require carrying luggage up stairs. Room 20 is a ground-floor room. King bed rooms and queen rooms are available; connecting rooms are not offered. All rates are for up to 2 people per room.

The Mad Batter is a landmark restaurant in Cape May, family-owned since 1976. Breakfast is served all day, including classics like fluffy buttermilk pancakes, Belgian waffles, crab cake benedict, and vegan options such as tofu scrambler and BLT with tempeh bacon. Lunch and dinner menus feature American fare: burgers, crab cakes, fish and chips, grilled chicken, handmade pizzas, pasta, and dinner entrees like filet mignon and honey BBQ ribs. A dedicated children's menu covers breakfast and dinner. There is also a vegan-friendly menu with items like seitan hot 'wings' and vegan crab cakes. The bar offers a wide selection of cocktails, wines, and IPAs. Dinner reservations are not taken; hotel guests can wait in the parlor, at the bar, or in their room and will be buzzed when a table is ready. Room service is not available, but takeout can be brought to the room. Live music is featured nightly, including open mic on Sundays. A $30 daily breakfast/lunch voucher and 30% off dinner are provided with direct bookings.

During the season, the hotel provides free beach passes, fresh towels, and complimentary chair and umbrella rentals through Steger Beach Services, saving approximately $100 per day. Evening entertainment is offered on-site, including live music at the bar. The hotel has a garden for relaxation.
