Crusader Oceanfront Resort sits directly on the beach in a quieter section of Wildwood Crest, away from the boardwalk's busiest crowds. The Wildwoods Convention Center is 1 km away, and Morey's Amusement Piers and Water Parks are a 2 km stroll down the boardwalk. Cape May is 11 km south. Several restaurants are within a 5-minute walk, including Waikiki Oceanfront Restaurant and Bandanas Mexican Grille. The surrounding residential area is safe and picturesque for morning walks, with bike rentals, tennis courts, and a playground nearby.

The resort offers various room types, from standard rooms with a TV and air conditioning to suites with full kitchenettes (microwave, two-burner stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, dishes). Type R rooms include a sofa bed in the living room. Suites labelled A and B are true oceanfront with private balconies; Type D offers ocean/pool views; Type C has a shared floor balcony. Type C also has a whirlpool tub. Rooms have central air or wall units (Type R has central). Pairs of rooms can be booked for families. Some suites feature two bathrooms. While many units are well-maintained and spacious, some rooms on the street side can feel compact, and the furniture in certain older rooms may show wear.

The Crusader Restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch, serving American-style food in a casual setting. The menu includes chicken tenders and other family-friendly options. Breakfast and lunch are also available at the lobby coffee shop. The restaurant typically closes at 14:00 but may close earlier on some days, so it is best used for morning and early afternoon meals. For dinner, numerous restaurants are within a short walk, including Bandanas Mexican Grille, Little Italy Restaurant, and The Jellyfish Cafe.

The resort features a large seasonal outdoor swimming pool (deep end 3.4 m) with a shallow end and a view of the ocean. The pool is heated and open daily from 10:00 to 20:00, from Mother's Day weekend until September 27th. Around the pool are sun loungers, chairs, and tables on a clean deck. A free sauna is available for relaxation. For activities, there are table tennis and shuffleboard on the deck, plus kids' outdoor play equipment. The beach is directly accessible, and beach umbrellas are available for an additional charge.

The 24-hour front desk provides express and private check-in/out services; a text service is available after check-in. Daily housekeeping is free but may not be scheduled automatically for multi-night stays; guests can request service at the desk. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. On-site parking is free and one spot per room is allocated, though spaces can be tight and subject to availability (especially on busy weekends).
