PREMIER INN LONDON CITY, London

The hotel is ideally placed for exploring the City of London. Tower Hill Underground station (Circle and District lines) is a 5-10 minute walk, with Tower Gateway DLR and Aldgate East stations also nearby. Liverpool Street mainline station is a 15-minute walk. The Tower of London and Tower Bridge are within a 5-10 minute stroll, and the River Thames and St Katharine Docks are equally close. The area offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants, including a Wetherspoons directly across the road. For airport access, the DLR from Tower Gateway provides a direct link to London City Airport. The hotel's location makes it a practical base for both sightseeing and business travel, though the proximity to a railway line means some rooms facing the tracks can experience audible train noise.

The hotel offers a range of room types including standard doubles, twins, family rooms, and upgraded Premier Plus rooms. Most rooms are described as spacious and feature the signature Premier Inn Hypnos bed, a large flat-screen TV, a desk, and storage. Bathrooms are clean and modern, with walk-in showers and good water pressure. Premier Plus rooms include additional touches like bottled water, chocolates, and a larger bathroom. Air conditioning is available but some units may have limited control or revert to preset temperatures. Rooms on lower ground floors can feel darker, and those facing the railway line or with interconnecting doors may experience noise. Guests have noted the rooms are generally quiet and well-insulated when away from these features.

This hotel is focused on practical accommodation and does not include wellness amenities. There is no swimming pool, spa, sauna, or fitness centre on the premises. The bar and lounge area provides a social space for drinks. For leisure activities, the hotel's location is its main asset, with London's major attractions, the Thames Path, and parks all within easy walking distance.

The hotel offers free standard Wi-Fi throughout, though its reliability has been inconsistent; a paid premium upgrade is available for faster speeds. Luggage storage is available at reception before check-in and after check-out, allowing for unencumbered exploration. Paid on-site parking is available but is limited. The 24-hour reception can arrange an airport transfer or help with local transport queries. The hotel is a non-smoking property, and pets are not allowed. The bar and restaurant serve drinks and meals, and a children's eat-free offer may apply. Some guests have reported that the lifts can be unreliable, and the hotel does not have interconnecting rooms.
