A bus stop and Sol Metro Station (multiple lines) are within a 2-minute walk, offering easy connections across the city and to Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport 14 km away. The central location brings high street noise, with sirens and nearby nightlife audible, so light sleepers may want to request a quieter room and bring earplugs.

Accommodation ranges from 4-, 6-, and 8-bed dorms to private rooms (available via email request, not on Booking). Each floor is reachable by lift. Dorm beds are spacious and come with a large under-bed locker (bring your own padlock). A door separates the sleeping area from the washroom, so late-night bathroom use disturbs sleep less. Some rooms have a balcony. Rooms are equipped with air conditioning (request activation from staff), heating, and parquet floors. The bathrooms have two sinks and mirror storage. However, rooms are compact, especially 8-bed dorms, and older furnishings with signs of wear are common. Soundproofing is minimal - hallway noise, door slamming, and street sounds can be disruptive.

The breakfast buffet provides a solid continental start to the day and is considered good value for its price. There is no restaurant on site, but the hostel has a bar in the basement common area. Many dining options are within a 2-minute walk - traditional tapas bars, cafés, and casual restaurants line the surrounding streets, including Taberna El Papelon, Inclan Brutal Bar, and Cafe & Tapas Carretas 14. The downstairs common area has a microwave, mini-oven, kettle, and coffee machine for self-catering.

The basement common area includes a lounge with sofas and a bar, plus spaces for board games and social activities. Free walking tours run twice daily, offering a great way to see Madrid on foot. Evening social events such as pub crawls and beer pong are hosted regularly, fostering a sociable atmosphere. Karaoke and live music performances are offered free of charge. The lounge area can get noisy with music throughout the day, and it sometimes feels crowded.

The 24-hour front desk allows check-in at any time after 15:00. Luggage can be stored in paid lockers between €2 and €7 (depending on size and duration) if you arrive before check-in or after checkout - no free storage is available.
