LA QUINTA BY WYNDHAM AUSTIN AIRPORT, Austin

The hotel sits on East Ben White Boulevard, directly adjacent to a Denny's, a Starbucks 0.5 km away, and a gas station convenience store within walking distance. The Austin Convention Centre and Texas State Capitol are a 10-minute drive, the University of Texas at Austin is less than 16 km away, and Circuit of the Americas is 14 km (15 km) south. The free airport shuttle runs 05:00-23:00; outside those hours you'll need an Uber or taxi. Highway access is immediate, making the property a practical base for business travellers, convention attendees, and race fans. The freeway proximity means road-facing rooms can be noisy; rooms set back from the highway are consistently described as quiet.

The hotel offers a range of room configurations including suites and family rooms. All rooms include air conditioning, a private bathroom with bath or shower and hairdryer, a seating area, wardrobe, and cable TV. Some rooms feature a separate living area with a sofa. Room sizes are generally described as spacious, though a few guests found the double beds narrow for two adults. Older building elements are visible: carpeted floors in hallways, dated bathroom fixtures, and older air-conditioning units that can be loud. Rooms away from the elevator and highway tend to be quieter. A limited number of wheelchair-accessible rooms with roll-in showers are available on the first floor. No rooms have balconies.

Breakfast is included in the rate and offered as a buffet-style continental spread. The standard selection includes self-made waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, bagels, pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, juice, and coffee. Breakfast is served in the lobby; serving times vary but are generally available from around 07:00 until 09:00 or 10:00 depending on the day. The hotel has no restaurant or bar on site, but a Denny's is immediately next door (walkable), and Starbucks is 0.5 km away. Coffee is available in the lobby 24 hours. For longer stays, the in-room microwave and mini-refrigerator are practical for storing and preparing simple meals.

The seasonal outdoor swimming pool is open during warmer months and is typically closed in winter. The pool area includes sun loungers and umbrellas, and is located in the interior courtyard. During colder seasons the pool is drained and not available. The 24-hour fitness centre is equipped with cardio and weight machines, and is free for all guests. There is no spa, sauna, or wellness centre on the property. The pool has been reported out of service for maintenance at times; if swimming is a priority for your trip, confirm pool availability directly with the front desk before booking.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/check-out, luggage storage, and a safety-deposit box. A business centre and two meeting rooms (81 m² total, capacity 45) are available; fax/photocopying and meeting/banquet facilities incur an additional charge. Laundry service is available for a fee. A small on-site market sells snacks, drinks, and travel essentials. The hotel has a lift servicing all floors, though the elevator is older and occasionally reported as slow or needing maintenance. A designated smoking area exists outside the building. Security features include 24-hour security, key card access, smoke alarms, and security alarms. Parking is free and on-site but requires a reservation; park-and-fly is available for $3.79 per day for vehicles left beyond the stay. The free airport shuttle operates 05:00-23:00 daily and must be requested at check-in.
