The hotel is situated on a busy main road in central Hamburg, offering direct access to shops and cultural venues. Jungfernstieg shopping district and the State Opera House are a 5-minute walk, and Dammtor Intercity train station is a 5-minute walk. The main train station is a 15-minute walk or 6 minutes by U-Bahn. Planten un Blomen park and the Alster Lake provide nearby outdoor space. Street-facing rooms are affected by traffic noise even with windows closed; rooms on the courtyard side are noticeably quieter. The location is highly walkable for city centre exploration and well connected by public transport.

Room sizes vary; some single rooms are compact while renovated rooms are spacious and modern. Non-renovated rooms have dated furniture, older bathrooms with fabric shower curtains, and worn carpets. Noise from the main road is significant in street-facing rooms - courtyard-facing rooms are quieter. Air conditioning is not available; opening windows worsens noise. Rooms on higher floors reduce street noise slightly. Renovated rooms feature modern bathrooms and better insulation. Twin-bedded rooms can be requested. A family room with a sofa bed is available, but the sofa bed is not separated from the main bedroom. Safety deposit box, heating, and a work desk are provided. No balcony, tea/coffee making facilities, or iron in rooms (steamer available at reception).

Breakfast is available for an additional €15 per person and includes a buffet with bread, cold cuts, eggs, yoghurt, fruit, and hot drinks. On Sundays breakfast runs from 07:00 to 11:00. The breakfast room can feel crowded and some items may run out during busy periods; hot dishes such as scrambled eggs may have limited availability. The hotel bar provides a cosy ambience for evening drinks but opening hours may be limited. No restaurant or lunch/dinner service is on site. Dozens of restaurants and cafés are within a short walk, covering international cuisine from Italian to Asian.

The fitness room is equipped with three cardio machines and some strength equipment, though maintenance may vary during renovation work. The sauna is free for all guests and offers a convenient way to unwind. A solarium is available at an additional charge. No swimming pool or full spa is on site. The nearby Alster Lake and Planten un Blomen park provide jogging and walking routes.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in public areas and works reasonably in most rooms but may be weaker on higher floors.
