Hotel Details

Location

At the entrance to Luxembourg Gardens, by the Latin Quarter, with RER B station 2 minutes away.
The hotel occupies a six-story stone building from 1876 on the corner of Rue Gay-Lussac and Boulevard Saint-Michel, directly at the gateway to the Jardin du Luxembourg. The Latin Quarter, the Sorbonne, the Panthéon and Notre-Dame Cathedral are all within a 10- to 15-minute walk. Luxembourg RER station (line B) is a 2-minute walk, providing a direct 35-minute connection to both CDG and Orly airports without changes. Metro lines 4 and 10 at Odéon (7 minutes) and bus stops serving lines 21, 27, 38, 82, 84 and 89 are at the Luxembourg stop. A 24-hour public car park is a 3-minute walk from the hotel. Multiple cafés, restaurants, a Carrefour supermarket and a pharmacy are within the same block, making day-to-day errands straightforward.

Accommodation

32 rooms on 6 floors: Classic, Superior, and Deluxe, plus Family and accessible rooms.
Classic rooms (13-15 m2) have a queen-size bed or twin singles. Superior rooms (15-18 m2) offer a balcony with rooftop or city views and some overlook the Luxembourg Gardens. Deluxe rooms are larger and can include a sofa bed for a third person. The Family room accommodates up to 5. All rooms are air-conditioned with soundproofed walls, satellite TV, a minibar, a kettle with tea and coffee, a hairdryer, a safe, and a private marble bathroom with either a bath or shower. Bedding is consistently comfortable, and daily housekeeping replaces towels. The lift serves all floors but is small. Noise from the street can be audible in front-facing rooms, so those who are light sleepers may prefer a higher or interior-facing room. Several rooms have a balcony.

Dining & Breakfast

Daily buffet breakfast served 07:00-10:00 in a vaulted stone-walled room.
The breakfast buffet includes breads, pastries, cheeses, cold cuts, eggs, yoghurt, cereals, fresh fruit, juices, and espresso. The setting is a cosy basement room with exposed stone walls. The reception area also offers self-service tea, coffee, and a water dispenser at no extra cost at any hour. Breakfast is available at an additional charge of 14 EUR. A coffee house is located on site, and in-room breakfast can be requested. Within a 1-minute walk there is a bakery and a range of restaurants and bistros along Rue Gay-Lussac and Boulevard Saint-Michel.

Wellness and Leisure

Luxembourg Gardens are immediately across the street, providing extensive park leisure.
The main leisure amenity is direct access to the Luxembourg Gardens, a 23-hectare public park with fountains, statues, a large pond with toy sailboats, shaded paths, tennis courts, and children's play areas. The hotel itself has no spa, pool, or gym. For indoor leisure, the surrounding Latin Quarter offers dozens of cafés and cultural sites, all within a 10-minute walk.

Facilities and Services

24-hour reception, free Wi-Fi, luggage storage, daily housekeeping, and a lift.
The 24-hour front desk can arrange taxi transfers to the airports (CDG is about 40 minutes by taxi or RER B). Free luggage storage is available before check-in and after checkout, allowing unhindered city exploration. Daily housekeeping is included and towels are replaced. The reception offers a comfortable lobby with self-service tea and coffee, plus a water fountain. The hotel provides free Wi-Fi throughout, a safety deposit box in each room, a business area, and a fax/photocopying service. A lift is present but narrow. Accepted payment methods include American Express, Visa, Maestro, UnionPay credit card, and MasterCard.

Critical Operational Notes

  • Check-in is from 15:00; check-out by 12:00.
  • No parking on site; the nearest public parking is Indigo Soufflot Panthéon, a 3-minute walk, with rates available online.
  • Pets are not allowed anywhere on the property.
  • Prepayment is needed for non-refundable room reservations.
  • The lift is small - suitable for two people or one person with a single bag; guests with heavy luggage may need assistance.
  • Accessibility: one wheelchair-accessible room exists, but there are steps to reach the lift; the ground-floor room may be a better alternative for guests with limited mobility.

Top Strategic Tips

  • 01

Book a room ending in 1, 2, 3, or 4 if you want a balcony with a view; other rooms face an adjacent building.

  • 02

Use free luggage storage to drop bags before check-in or after checkout and explore the city unencumbered.

  • 03

Take RER B from Charles de Gaulle airport directly to Luxembourg station, a 2-minute walk from the hotel - no changes needed.

  • 04

Request a room away from the street if you are sensitive to traffic and foot traffic noise, as soundproofing varies.
