Pod 51 sits just a few minutes' stroll from Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and Grand Central Terminal. Times Square is 2 km away, and the surrounding area offers a safe, quiet residential feel at night. Subway stations (51st St/6 train, 53rd St E/M) are within two blocks, giving direct access to the rest of Manhattan. Many of the city's top museums, shopping on Fifth Avenue, and parks are reachable on foot, making car use unnecessary for most visitors.

All rooms are private. The Queen Pod is about 10 m², with a custom queen bed, glass-enclosed bathroom, flat-screen TV, and workspace. Bunk Pods have two twin beds, each with its own TV, reading light, and charging ports. A shared bathroom option is available, with a sink inside the room. The shared bathrooms are cleaned regularly, but some find them steamy and musty. Rooms on higher floors are quieter, and those facing away from the road help reduce street noise. Air conditioning is standard, though units can be noisy - portable ear plugs are helpful for light sleepers.

POD Café and Garden provides a grab-and-go breakfast and coffee. Clinton Hall, in the same building, is open for lunch and dinner, serving American pub fare with a full bar. The immediate area has many restaurants and cafés, offering a wide range of cuisines at various price points.

The rooftop is accessible daily from 8am to 11pm and provides an excellent vantage point for skyline views. The courtyard garden offers a quieter outdoor spot. Free walking tours with Streetwise New York Tours depart from the hotel on weekdays. The hotel does not have a fitness center, but nearby options exist on 52nd Street.

Facilities include a lift, non-smoking rooms, and accessible rooms with roll-in showers. Housekeeping tidies rooms daily and replaces towels.
