The hotel sits directly behind the Superdome (400 metres) and is also a short walk to Smoothie King Center and the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center (25 minutes on foot). The French Quarter, Bourbon Street, and Canal Street are all within a 10-20 minute walk. The area is safe and well-connected: the streetcar stop is right outside, and public buses serve the airport. Guests staying for events at the Superdome or Smoothie King Center will find the location ideal, as parking at the stadium is unnecessary. The hotel connects to the Hyatt Regency via an over-street walkway, providing access to additional dining, a Starbucks, and shops.

Room types include king and queen suites with separate living areas and kitchens equipped with a stovetop, full-size fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. The rooms are generally large, clean, and comfortable, with blackout curtains, air conditioning, and a dedicated work space. Some furniture shows wear and tear, and sofa beds are thin and uncomfortable - not recommended for adult sleepers. A limited number of accessible rooms with tubs and handrails are available. There are no rooms with balconies. Rooms on the west side (facing the Superdome) may experience noise from a large building air conditioning unit; an east-facing or higher floor can be quieter. The AC sensor in some rooms can cause the temperature to rise at night when no motion is detected.

The complimentary breakfast includes a full hot buffet with scrambled eggs, bacon, grits, oatmeal, waffles, pancakes, fresh fruit, juices, and coffee. An omelet station is available. The breakfast area is on the 11th floor with city views. The on-site H Bar serves American cuisine for dinner, with to-go items such as wings, gumbo, and hamburgers. Breakfast inclusion should be confirmed when booking, as some rates may exclude it. No room service is available. The connected Hyatt Regency provides additional dining and a Starbucks.

The pool is heated and shared with the Hyatt Regency, open seasonally (typically closed in winter and during inclement weather). Pool towels are provided. The on-site fitness centre is small, with a few cardio machines and free weights. The gym at the Hyatt Regency is not accessible to Hyatt House guests. The pool location can be confusing - follow signs to the Hyatt Regency and it is on the 5th floor.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. A 24-hour front desk handles check-in, security, and requests. Laundry facilities are available at a charge ($2 per load, quarters required). A business centre is on site. Safety deposit boxes are free at the front desk. Express check-in/out is available. The hotel is wheelchair accessible with lift access.
