The hostel sits on Kuhio Beach, a 4-minute walk away, and is also 400 metres from Saint Augustine by-the-Sea. Waikiki Shell and the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center are within walking distance, and the Waikiki nightlife and dining strip is right at the doorstep. Bus route 20 stops nearby and provides a direct connection from Honolulu International Airport (17 km away) without any transfers. For Diamond Head hiking, the #2 bus is a practical option. The area is the top-rated district in Honolulu, with an excellent pedestrian environment; most attractions and many restaurants are reachable on foot.

The hostel offers a variety of room types: double rooms (one bed) with either a private or shared bathroom, triple rooms (two beds) with a private bathroom, twin rooms with a shared bathroom, and mixed or female-only dormitories. All rooms are air-conditioned. Private rooms include a refrigerator, microwave, and free Wi-Fi, while dorm rooms have shared facilities. Air conditioning units in some rooms have been described as noisy and old, and may not cool the room effectively. Some mattresses are older and the bed bases can transfer movement. Rooms facing the street may be less quiet. The property spans two buildings; the secondary building can have poor Wi-Fi.

The hostel provides a complimentary breakfast each morning with coffee, cookies, and pancakes (on some days). Filtered water and iced coffee are available all day at reception. A shared kitchen is located on the rooftop terrace with a stove, fridge, and some cooking equipment, though cutlery and pots may be limited. Numerous food trucks and restaurants-such as Denny's, Lu Lu's Waikiki, and Waikiki Beachside Kitchen-are within a 5-minute walk. The hostel does not have its own restaurant or bar, but the rooftop often hosts evening social events.

The hostel lends out a wide range of beach equipment free of charge: surfboards, boogie boards, snorkelling gear, umbrellas, and beach chairs. Towels are available for a small fee. The rooftop terrace features outdoor furniture, a sundeck, a shared kitchen, and a lounge area, and it hosts regular social events such as movie nights and Margarita Mondays. There is also a communal WhatsApp group that organises day trips, hikes, bar outings, and ride-sharing. Board games and puzzles are available for indoor leisure. The property is about a 5-minute walk from the main Waikiki Beach.

The hostel operates a 24-hour front desk and offers luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures. Lockers are available but have been described as small and not entirely reliable. Laundry is available on-site (washing machine and tumble dryer, $5 per load). Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, though connectivity can be poor in the secondary building. Private on-site parking costs US$25 per day and must be reserved in advance. An ATM/cash machine is on site. Towels, surfboards, and other gear can be rented. A safety deposit box is available. Daily cleaning of rooms and common areas is standard.
