Carlisle House Inn sits on a quiet street just outside Nantucket's town center, providing a peaceful retreat while keeping everything within a 5-minute walk. The Nantucket Whaling Museum is 300 metres away, and Children's Beach is a 5-minute stroll. Both ferry lines are a short walk (5-10 minutes) - no taxi needed. The inn is 5 km from Nantucket Memorial Airport. Numerous restaurants are within 0.3-0.5 km, making it easy to explore dining without a car. Bicycle rental shops are nearby, and the inn offers free bike parking.

Accommodations range from single and double rooms to spacious suites. All rooms have air conditioning (window units), free toiletries, bathrobes, and flat-screen TVs with cable channels. Many rooms offer garden views, and some feature fireplaces or seating areas. The Nantucket Suite includes a living room, separate bedroom, kitchenette (refrigerator, microwave), and a sleeper sofa accommodating two extra guests on a queen mattress. The Madaket and Sconset suites have sleeper sofas for one extra guest each. King beds are available in many rooms; some rooms have twin beds (shared hall bathroom). No rooms have two separate beds except suites with sleeper sofas. Additional fees apply for extra guests.
