HAMPTON INN NEWARK AIRPORT, Newark

The hotel sits just a few minutes' drive from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), accessible via a free 24-hour shuttle that connects to the P4 AirTrain station. The immediate area is a challenging environment on foot-highways, no sidewalks, and no nearby restaurants or shops. Getting to Midtown Manhattan involves a shuttle to the airport, then the AirTrain to Newark Liberty International Airport Station or Newark Penn Station, about 20-30 minutes each way. Jersey Gardens Outlet Mall is 7 km away, while the Newark Museum and Rutgers University are within a 6 km radius. Ironbound, a neighbourhood with Portuguese and Spanish restaurants, is about 10 minutes by car. For longer journeys, consider Uber or Lyft; taxi services from the hotel to JFK cost around US$165 (US$130 plus tolls).

Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, omelettes, bacon, sausage, fried potatoes, oatmeal, gluten-free cereal options, fresh fruit, breads, pastries, coffee, and juice. To-go bags are available if you need to leave before 6:00 AM-just request one at the front desk. The hotel has no restaurant or bar on-site; a small lobby snack bar with microwavable items, frozen meals, and drinks is open 24/7, but selection is limited and prices are above average. For evening dining, use food delivery services-the front desk can provide menus from local restaurants that deliver to the hotel. The nearest sit-down restaurants are in the Ironbound district (about 10 minutes away by car) or at Jersey Gardens Mall (7 km).

The fitness centre is spacious, well-ventilated, and equipped with cardio machines and free weights, accessible around the clock. There is no pool, hot tub, or spa on the property. For outdoor space, the hotel provides a small picnic area with outdoor furniture-useful for a short break but not designed for extended leisure.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas. The 24-hour front desk can assist with luggage storage (available for a few hours after check-out, not for multiple days), express check-in/out, and safety deposit boxes. A 24-hour business centre, meeting/banquet facilities (for a fee), and photocopying/fax services are on site. Coin-operated laundry is available (payment via Google Pay app). Daily housekeeping is complimentary; dry cleaning and ironing service are available for an additional charge. The free airport shuttle runs every 30 minutes, on demand, 24 hours a day, but is not wheelchair-accessible. Pair shuttles sometimes have limited space; the driver may need to take multiple trips. Private parking costs US$20 per night (reservation needed); electric vehicle charging stations are on site. The hotel has an ATM, a minimarket, and board games for children.
