The neighbourhood is generally safe, with well-lit streets, though a few blocks can feel darker at night. For car users, paid public parking is available nearby at around US$50 per day, but space is not reservable.

Rooms are minimalist and small-the single room has a twin bed and the double room a double bed; some spaces can feel cramped for more than one person or for those with large luggage. The shared bathrooms are located on each floor and are generally kept clean, with hot water and good pressure, though supply of items like soap and bath mats is limited. Weather-dependent: the air conditioning can be strong and direct, and the heating is sometimes reported as insufficient in very cold weather.
