The property sits on the banks of the Tiber River in a typical Roman neighbourhood, placing the main historic landmarks within easy walking distance. The Pantheon and Piazza Navona are a 2-minute stroll away, Castel Sant'Angelo is across the bridge, and the Vatican is a short walk further. The area is packed with restaurants, cafés and shops, with popular spots like Alfredo alla Scrofa and La Campana located 0.5 km from the door. The surrounding streets are pedestrian-friendly, and public transport options including buses and trams are nearby for connections to Roma Termini station. The central location makes walking the most practical way to explore the city, but guests with cars should note that no parking is available on site.

All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a private bathroom with free toiletries, a flat-screen TV, a minibar, and parquet or tiled floors. The accommodation is divided between two buildings: the main hotel (Antica Dimora Delle Cinque Lune, where check-in and breakfast are located) and a separate annex a short walk away. The annex rooms are accessed via a narrow alley and a steep, sometimes uneven staircase, with no elevator on site. Some room types offer a small double bed. While the decor is described as vintage and characterful, some units have low light levels and dated furnishings. Road-facing rooms may pick up street noise. The property does not offer rooms with a balcony, and some rooms have high ceilings.

Breakfast is available at the main building (Hotel Antica Dimora Delle Cinque Lune) for €15 per person, served on a rooftop terrace with what is widely considered a stunning view. The spread includes scrambled eggs, bread, pastries, fresh fruit, cheeses, cold cuts, and a range of hot drinks including cappuccino. There is a self-service station for making tea, coffee or cappuccino. The rooftop is also pleasant for lunch or an afternoon drink, offering a food-platter option. For dinner and other meals, the surrounding streets are dense with excellent restaurants - including several within a 5-minute walk serving classic Roman cuisine.

Wi-Fi is provided free of charge in all areas. Daily room cleaning and towel changes are included. Luggage storage is available at the main building before check-in and after check-out. The property offers a paid airport shuttle service: €50 for 1-3 passengers and €65 for 4-6 passengers from either Ciampino or Fiumicino airports (€60 for 1-2 passengers between midnight and 7:00 AM). The front desk on the main building is staffed for check-in and can arrange the shuttle. The annex building has no reception and uses a door-phone system.
