The return walk from the beach involves a slight uphill gradient, but the proximity outweighs the effort. Attractions such as Rancho Texas Park and Lanzarote Golf Resort are a short drive away. Free public street parking is available nearby, making a rental car convenient for exploring the island.

The apartments feature a separate bedroom with a comfortable double bed and a living area with a sofa bed that can comfortably sleep two additional people - ideal for two adults or a small family. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a stovetop, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, and cookware for self-catering. A washing machine adds convenience for longer stays. The bathroom was described as spotless and nicely designed. Each apartment opens onto a private terrace with outdoor furniture and dining area, often directly overlooking the pool. Cupboard and wardrobe space are abundant, and the property provides a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, free WiFi, and ironing facilities. The layout is practical and quiet - street-facing noise is minimal, ensuring good sleep quality.

There is no restaurant at Apartamentos Albatros, so all meals are self-catered or taken at nearby venues. The kitchenette is stocked with all cookware and utensils needed to prepare full meals. A basic supermarket is literally next door, and a larger Mercadona is a short walk along the promenade. Within 300 metres are numerous dining options including Indian Aroma for curry, The Blue Marlin for pub-style meals, Dragon Chinese, and the highly rated Restaurant El Quijote (5-minute walk). Several tapas bars and cafés line the beachfront. For breakfast, guests can shop for essentials at the supermarket or visit a café on the promenade; the apartment's own equipment makes it easy to prepare morning meals at leisure.

The outdoor swimming pool is a highlight - it is seasonal (open during warmer months) and has a shallow end suitable for children and relaxed floating. The pool area is well-maintained, surrounded by sun lounges, and directly accessible from many apartments. Since there is no spa, fitness centre, or organised activities, the focus is on poolside relaxation and beach access. Scuba diving is available in the surrounding waters for those interested, and the nearby promenade is ideal for walks, runs, or cycling. For family leisure, the pool and nearby beach (seven-minute walk) provide ample low-cost entertainment. A few tables and chairs on each private terrace allow for quiet al fresco meals or reading.

The host, Marion, is known for being extremely communicative and helpful - she can accommodate early check-in requests when possible, provides a welcome bottle of wine and snacks, and stocks the apartment with all essentials (cleaning products, towels, beach/pool toys, and even spare supplies). There is no restaurant or shuttle service. The complex is gated and quiet. For families, cots can be provided. The only reception service is an invoice; self check-in is via pre-arranged key collection. No pets or smoking allowed.
