Ava Rooms sits on a lively pedestrian street just off Gran Vía, placing you steps from the metro station and within walking distance of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum (1 km), the Royal Palace (1 km), and the Prado Museum (2 km). Puerta del Sol is 500 metres away. Despite the busy street, double glazing keeps most street noise out, though rooms overlooking the courtyard are quieter. The area has numerous cafés, supermarkets, and dining options. Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport is 15 km away, easily reachable by metro from Gran Vía.

Rooms are generally small and functional. Most include a private bathroom with shower, while some single rooms have a shared bathroom 10-15 metres away. All rooms have air conditioning and heating. The family room offers a balcony with city views, a minibar, and two beds. Many rooms come with a kitchenette (fridge, microwave, kettle, sink), ideal for preparing simple meals. Daily housekeeping is included. Sound insulation between rooms is thin, so noise from neighbours and internal areas is common. Road-facing rooms benefit from good external soundproofing, but those on the patio are quieter. Beds are comfortable but compact. Rooms are basic and old-fashioned, not spacious, but clean.

Ava Rooms does not have a restaurant or offer breakfast. Each room is equipped with an electric kettle, and complimentary tea and coffee are provided. The kitchenette in most rooms (fridge and microwave) allows you to store and prepare simple food. Several cafés, including Malvy's Shakes and La Austriaca, are 300 metres away. A supermarket is nearby for groceries.

Wi-Fi is available free of charge in all rooms. Daily housekeeping is included. Free luggage storage is available from 09:00 until 21:00 on departure day. The lift serves most floors, though 10 steps remain to the accommodation. There is no on-site parking. A tour desk and fax/photocopying (for a fee) are available. Payment is accepted by multiple credit cards. Fire extinguishers are installed. Reception is not manned 24 hours, but late check-in can be arranged by WhatsApp using provided steps.
