The single window opens to the street, making the apartment quite warm in summer - cooling relies on a fan, as the air conditioning is often inoperable. Noise from the street and neighbouring apartments can be audible, so light sleepers may want earplugs. The double bed frame can be noisy, and the sofa bed bedding for a third or fourth guest is not automatically supplied.

The apartment is within easy walking distance of both the train station and the bus terminal, making it ideal for onward travel by rail or bus. Several restaurants, bars, and cafés are within a 5-minute walk on Calle Martínez de la Rosa. The Automobile and Fashion Museum is a 15-minute walk away, and Malaga city centre can be reached in about 15 minutes by bus or metro. Malaga Airport is 6 km away, accessible by train from the nearby station.
