BEST BNB PONTE VECCHIO, Florence

The property is located in the real heart of Florence, placing you within a few steps of Ponte Vecchio and a 4-minute walk from the Uffizi Gallery. Piazza della Signoria is 6 minutes away on foot, and the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore is less than 1 km from the property. Piazzale Michelangelo is 2 km away, while Florence Airport is 11 km from the property. Finding the exact location can be challenging, and there is no reception on arrival. Several restaurants and cafés (Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco, Trattoria Mamma Gina, Caffe Maioli, and others) are within a 5-minute walk, making it easy to eat without travelling far.

The double room offers a flat-screen TV, kitchen utensils, and a wardrobe, plus a small refrigerator and hairdryer. The room is compact, and the window faces the roof on the other side, so natural light is limited. The shared bathroom contains a shower and toilet, but the floor and fixtures are often in poor condition with slow-draining sink and shower. Room temperature can be cold in winter, and the window does not close fully, letting in drafts and noise from neighbours. Bedding and towels are sometimes not fresh, and the room may not be cleaned regularly. The air conditioner is available but cannot be used at the same time as other high-power appliances without tripping the electricity.

Parking is not available, and internet access is entirely absent - no Wi-Fi and no wired connection. There is no reception desk; all communication with the host is handled via WhatsApp, and messages may not be answered after midnight. Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out by 10:00, with no possibility for early check-in or late check-out handled in person. Housekeeping is irregular, and the shared bathroom is not cleaned between all stays. On arrival, the room may not have been prepared, with used towels and trash present. The property has no lifts and there is no luggage storage service. Non-smoking is enforced throughout the property.
