CA'GHIRONDA, Venice

This is a prime location on Giudecca, a quiet residential island across the lagoon from central Venice. The Palanca vaporetto stop is just two minutes away, providing a one-stop ride to St. Mark's Square. Numerous restaurants, including Pizzeria Ae Botti and Ostaria Ae Botti, a gelateria, a supermarket (coop), and bars are all within a few hundred metres. The Marco Polo Airport is 16 km away; take the bus from the airport to Piazzale Roma, then a vaporetto to the island, or alternatively a bus to Mestre station and a train to Venezia station. The quiet waterfront location offers direct canal views and an authentic local feel away from the dense tourist crowds of central Venice.

The apartment, a self-contained private unit (not just a room), comprises one separate bedroom, a living room with a seating area and a dining table, and one bathroom with a shower and bidet. The well-fitted kitchen includes a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and electric kettle, plus basic cooking staples such as olive oil and spices. The accommodation offers parquet flooring, a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV, and heating. It has a private garden with direct garden views. The unit sleeps up to two people; the bed is generally comfortable. The apartment is in a historic palace and does not have central air conditioning, but an air cooler and fan are provided. It feels larger and brighter in person than the photos suggest. The unit is non-smoking throughout and accessed via a lift.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, and basic cooking essentials like olive oil and spices, allowing for effortless meal preparation. Within 0.5 km of the apartment, you will find Pizzeria Ae Botti, Ostaria Ae Botti, and Gelateria Le Meraviglie di Alice. A supermarket (coop) is also nearby for groceries. The area is known for cicchetti bars and osterias along the waterfront. This setup gives guests complete flexibility to cook or eat out, with multiple dining options at the doorstep.

The most notable leisure amenity is the private garden, a quiet space overlooking the canal. The surroundings provide access to boat trips and the opportunity to watch local events such as La Vogalonga. The island itself is very quiet and ideal for a calm retreat away from the centre, while still being minutes from the main attractions by vaporetto.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas. The building has a lift for easier access. A washing machine and iron/ironing board are provided on-site. A paid airport shuttle service can be arranged. Check-in is handled by the host, Sara, who is known for being very proactive, communicative, and able to suggest local attractions. Late check-in is subject to fees: €20 from 10pm to midnight, and €40 after midnight. An invoice is provided. The property operates with a flexible and accommodating approach, including allowing early check-in when possible and offering practical support for guest needs.
