CASA HYGIEA IN CANTON DE' FIORI, Bologna

Casa Hygiea sits on the third floor of a palatial building overlooking Piazza Maggiore and the Neptune Fountain, with windows directly onto the square. The apartment is 200 metres from Quadrilatero Bologna, 600 metres from Santo Stefano Church, and a 14-minute walk from MAMbo. Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport is 10 km away. Despite the central position, rooms with closed windows are notably quiet. Numerous restaurants, cafés, and shops are within a 500-metre radius, making the location ideal for sightseeing without needing a car. Guests arriving without a car should note that no parking is available and the narrow streets are pedestrian-friendly.

The unit features a fully equipped kitchenette with a stovetop, refrigerator, microwave, and utensils, plus a dining table. The living room includes a sofa bed and a flat-screen TV, while the bedroom has a comfortable double bed. City views from the windows are a highlight, especially those facing Piazza Maggiore. The property is entirely non-smoking and soundproofed, with parquet floors, air conditioning, and heating throughout. Private bathrooms with a shower and bidet are available in some rooms - ensure your booking confirms this. The spacious rooms suit families or groups, with the ability to accommodate two adults comfortably plus additional guests on the sofa bed.

Casa Hygiea does not have a spa, swimming pool, or gym. For leisure, the city's historic centre offers live sport events (broadcast, free, off-site) and a golf course within 3 km. The apartment's proximity to Piazza Maggiore and major attractions makes it ideal for walking tours and cultural exploration. Guests seeking fitness options can use the paid fitness centre nearby or explore the city on bike rentals available from the property.

WiFi is free throughout the apartment. Luggage storage is available at no extra charge, useful for early arrivals. Guests benefit from private check-in/out, express check-in/out, and a concierge service. Security includes 24-hour surveillance, CCTV in common areas and outside, fire extinguishers, and smoke alarms. Additional services include daily housekeeping (additional charge), laundry (additional charge), babysitting/child services (additional charge), and bicycle or car hire (additional charge). Pets are allowed on request with no extra charge. A minimarket and barber/beauty shop are on site. Reception is closed on Sundays, so arriving before check-in without prior arrangements may limit immediate assistance.
