The neighbourhood is very lively, especially on weekends, and can be noisy and rowdy until late hours. Some streets may feel less safe after dark; walking in groups is recommended.

Dormitories range from 4 to 6 beds, with privacy curtains and sturdy bunks. Private rooms can sleep up to 4 people and include a modern bathroom with walk-in shower. Some rooms are spacious while others are compact. Windows face the street and allow significant noise; earplugs are provided. Air conditioning is available in some rooms; others rely on a clip-on fan. Bed linen is provided but guests must make their own bed. Bedbugs have been found on the property, so inspect bedding. Storage includes lockers and hooks, but some rooms lack hanging space. Cleanliness varies-dust on less-used surfaces has been noted, and some bathrooms may not be freshly cleaned. The decor is stylish and modern.

Breakfast includes cereal, bread with spreads, fruit, oatmeal, coffee, tea, and juice. It is self-service in the shared kitchen area. The attached bar, Booty's, offers drinks and food; guests receive a free welcome beer upon check-in. Reception also sells snacks and drinks.
