DRUMMOND APARTMENT, Edinburgh

The apartment is on a quiet street just off the Royal Mile, placing Edinburgh Castle (2 km) and most central attractions within a short walk. Edinburgh Waverley train station is nearby, making day trips by rail straightforward. The surrounding block has several cafés and restaurants within a 5-minute radius. Edinburgh Airport is 10 km away; there is no shuttle, so a taxi or tram is the main option.

The apartment sleeps up to five with 3 beds across two levels: a twin room downstairs and a king room upstairs, each with its own bathroom. The split-level layout means bedrooms are not fully private - the upstairs twin is reached through the king bedroom and there is a small open connection between the upstairs sleeping areas. The living area is open-plan with the kitchen, and the space is well-equipped with a dishwasher, oven, hob, kettle, microwave, and a washing machine. Parquet floors and large windows throughout except in the dressing room. Comfort items include a fan, ironing facilities, and a welcome basket. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and basics such as tea, coffee, and condiments.

The apartment has a well-fitted kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, oven, hob and all cookware. Basics like milk, coffee, sugar and olive oil are provided for arrival. A small dining table extends for meals. There is no restaurant or breakfast on site, but the location is surrounded by cafés - Spoon Café Bistro, The Black Medicine Coffee Co, and Caffe Nero are all within a 3-minute walk. A Sainsbury's nearby allows for easy grocery stocking.

The property does not offer spa or wellness facilities. For outdoor leisure, a golf course is within 3 km, and hiking routes are accessible in the area. The central location also provides easy access to Edinburgh's parks and green spaces on foot.

The apartment offers free WiFi in public areas via a code-based network. A lift serves the third floor (with 6 steps down to reach the lift). Self-check-in is by door code, with full details sent 4 days before arrival - late arrivals are straightforward. Luggage storage can be arranged from noon if cleaning allows. Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out is strictly at 10:00. No parking is available on site. Cots are available on request. The property is non-smoking throughout and has smoke alarms and fire extinguishers.
