FLORENCE URBAN NEST ~ GUESTHOUSE, Florence

Situated in a calm residential neighbourhood, this guesthouse puts the city's landmarks within manageable reach by public transport. The bus stop is a short walk away and a direct service reaches the historic core in about 15 minutes; buses can be irregular, so planning extra time is wise. The area is well served by several supermarkets, bars, and restaurants within a 5-minute walk, making it easy to pick up supplies or a meal without going into the center. The property is also very close to the Mandela Forum stadium, a practical choice for event attendees. Florence Airport is 10 km away. For those arriving by car, there is no parking on site and street parking is extremely difficult during large local events.

The guesthouse offers single and double rooms, each with air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV, a wardrobe, free tea, and a charging station. All rooms include bathrobes, slippers, and free toiletries. Some units feature a private bathroom with a shower and bidet, while a double room has a shared bathroom - a key distinction to confirm when booking. Certain rooms open onto a private balcony or a shared terrace with garden views; the terrace is spacious and pleasant in warmer months. Room sizes vary: some are described as spacious and bright, while others feel compact with limited storage or no chair or table. Windows in some rooms face a shared balcony, reducing privacy for ventilation. The property is on the second floor with no elevator and can feel cold if the heating is inconsistent; the air conditioning system may have operational limits in winter.

There is no pool, spa, gym, or organized leisure activities at this guesthouse. The outdoor offering is limited to a shared terrace and, in some rooms, a private balcony with garden views. The area is quiet and residential, suitable for walks but not for recreational sports or spa breaks.

Fast free WiFi (125 Mbps) is available throughout the property, suitable for streaming and video calls. A laundry service is available for an extra charge. The property offers private check-in and check-out, and luggage storage is available before check-in and after checkout, which is convenient for day trips. There is no on-site parking; car access is difficult in the neighbourhood, especially during events at the Mandela Forum or Fiorentina matches. The building has 24-hour security, smoke alarms, and key access. Staff can be helpful coordinating late arrivals but are not always reachable by phone for urgent issues. There is no daily housekeeping, and shared bathroom bins are not emptied frequently. Pets are not allowed.
