HAWTHORN SUITES BY WYNDHAM JACKSONVILLE, Jacksonville

The property offers suite-style rooms with a separate living area, a full kitchen (stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, dishes, and utensils), and a private bathroom. The room size is generally spacious, with a comfortable king or queen bed and abundant closet space. However, the overall condition is inconsistent: some rooms show significant wear, including stained carpets, damaged curtains, broken blinds, non-functional phones, peeling wallpaper, and cleanliness concerns such as mould, rust, and pests. The air conditioning may struggle to cool the room, especially with more than two occupants, and road-facing rooms can have noise intrusion. The bed is often described as comfortable, but the pillows are not. Request a room that has been recently refreshed or inspected before accepting.

The hotel offers a daily breakfast at an additional charge of $1, which is notably low. The selection includes hot items such as corned beef hash, French toast sticks, and biscuits and gravy, as well as cold options like cereal, fruit, bagels, and waffles. Coffee is included. The cook is often praised for the quality and variety of the hot breakfast. The breakfast area is supervised, and taking food out of the cafe is not permitted. For lunch and dinner, the immediate area offers eight restaurants within 0.5 km, including Red Lobster, Denny's, Wendy's, and several other chain and casual options.

The hotel provides a 24-hour front desk, private check-in/check-out, and a business centre with fax/photocopying and meeting/banquet facilities. Free WiFi is available in public areas. Laundry service is offered for an additional charge, and vending machines sell drinks. Luggage storage is available. The property does not have an elevator in all buildings, and some exterior doors may not secure properly. Daily housekeeping is not guaranteed; if required, it must be requested at the front desk. The 24-hour reception is generally understaffed, so be prepared for wait times. The hotel does not accept pets.
