HOLIDAY INN ROSSLYN AT KEY BRIDGE, Arlington

The hotel is situated in the Rosslyn neighbourhood of Arlington, just across the Potomac River from Georgetown in Washington, D.C. The Rosslyn Metro station (serving the Orange, Blue, and Silver lines) is a 5-minute walk away, providing direct access to the National Mall, Smithsonian museums, and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Many key DC sites can be reached within 15 minutes by train or a short ride on the DC Circulator bus, which stops a block away. For those driving, the hotel's gated parking garage costs $20 per night. The immediate area offers a range of fast-casual dining options (Nando's, Panera, McDonald's) and a Target Express within walking distance. The hotel is also convenient for visitors to Arlington National Cemetery and the Pentagon, both located nearby.

Standard rooms come with either one king or two double beds, a sitting area, a desk, a flat-screen TV, and in-room safe. Many rooms feature a private balcony and a second sink and mirror located outside the bathroom, which helps when getting ready with others. While room sizes are generally generous, bathrooms are compact. Some rooms do not include a refrigerator or microwave by default; these can be requested but availability is not guaranteed. Bed comfort is generally high, though a few rooms have been noted as having very soft mattresses. The room temperature is controlled by the building's central system, so there is no individual thermostat. For the best experience, request a high floor to maximize the views and a room facing the city rather than the road.

The hotel's main restaurant, Vantage Point, is located on the 17th floor and offers a buffet breakfast each morning (with a $10 per person charge, or $18 for a full hot buffet) and a dinner menu with reasonable prices (a family of four can expect to spend around $52 before tip). The breakfast buffet includes hot options like eggs, sausages, and fresh fruit, as well as pastries and beverages. The restaurant offers a varied menu for supper, with children eating free during select periods. Room service is available during restaurant hours. For those who prefer lighter meals, several fast-food and casual dining options are within a 5-minute walk, including Starbucks, Panera Bread, Nando's, and McDonald's. A Target Express and grocery store are also nearby for self-catering.

The hotel offers complimentary internet access throughout the property. A 24-hour front desk can assist with check-in, luggage storage, and arranging taxis. On-site laundry and dry-cleaning services are available. The property is wheelchair accessible and is a non-smoking facility. The gated parking garage costs $20 per night. The four elevators can be slow during peak times (morning and evening), so plan extra time when heading to breakfast or leaving. Early check-in is not always possible, but luggage storage is a helpful option. The hotel does not offer a shuttle to the airport, but the nearby Metro provides direct rail access to both Reagan National and Dulles airports.
