HOSTAL ASUNCION, Madrid

Located in central Madrid, the hostal is 400 metres from Chueca and 500 metres from Paseo de la Castellana. Puerta del Sol is a 10-minute walk, and Plaza Colón is 5 minutes away. The nearest metro station (Alonso Martínez) connects to three lines, making it easy to reach anywhere in Madrid. The area is lively with numerous dining options directly around the square, and many landmarks are within comfortable walking distance.

Rooms are functional and clean, though many are described as compact. Sound insulation between rooms and from the street is limited, so noise from neighbours, the square's bars, and early-morning deliveries can be noticeable. Rooms facing the interior patio are generally quieter but may occasionally pick up odours from the restaurant below. Air conditioning and heating are available; some units have older furniture and fixtures. The private bathrooms are small, with shower (no tub). A few rooms have a balcony overlooking the square.

The hostal does not provide breakfast or restaurant services. However, the square directly below and the surrounding streets are filled with dining options for every taste and budget, from casual tapas bars to international cuisine. Many guests take advantage of the location to eat out, and there are also supermarkets and bakeries nearby for self-catering breakfast supplies.

The hostal offers free Wi-Fi throughout, a small business corner with computer access, and a shared terrace and lounge area. Lift access is available. Express check-in/out is a digital process managed via WhatsApp, and the property has CCTV in common areas for security. Housekeeping is provided on request via the WhatsApp group. There is no on-site parking, and pets are not permitted. The entire property is non-smoking. Luggage storage is possible but the hostal accepts no liability for items left.
