HOSTAL IDEAL BADAL, Barcelona

The hostal is in a safe residential neighborhood, about 30 minutes from the city centre by public transport. Mercat Nou metro station (Line 1) is a 5-minute walk away, connecting directly to Plaça de Catalunya and the city's historic core. Plaça d'Espanya is 2 km on foot, offering airport bus connections (Aerobus) and access to the Montjuïc area. For Camp Nou, the walk takes around 25-30 minutes. Nearby amenities include grocery stores, a fruit shop, bakeries, a Lidl supermarket, and a budget restaurant downstairs serving early breakfast and coffee. Public bus and metro stops are close, making central sights reachable within 20-30 minutes by transit.

Rooms are basic but functional, with beds, pillows, a small heater or fan depending on the season, and limited furniture - generally no wardrobe or bedside table. Some rooms have air conditioning; others rely on ceiling fans or portable heaters. Private bathrooms are spacious and clean in some cases, while shared bathrooms are dated and less well-maintained. Street-facing rooms experience significant noise from traffic and late-night activity; quieter rooms face the interior. Room sizes vary - some are very compact, with the bed fitting wall-to-wall. Bedding and towels may not always be fresh, and some rooms lack adequate lighting or window curtains. For better cleanliness and sound insulation, a room with a private bathroom away from the street is strongly recommended.

The hostal does not have a restaurant or provide breakfast. The shared kitchen is equipped with two electric hobs, a microwave, a kettle, a fridge with designated compartments for each room, and basic cookware - suitable for preparing simple meals. Kitchen use is generally allowed for breakfast and light cooking (e.g., boiling pasta), though some users report occasional restrictions on cooking. A small, cheap restaurant directly downstairs opens early and serves coffee and breakfast. Nearby grocery stores, fruit shops, and a Lidl supermarket make it easy to buy supplies. Options like Goiko Grill, La Tagliatella, and other casual dining spots are within a 5-10 minute walk.

The hostal does not have a pool, spa, gym, or dedicated leisure facilities. The shared lounge area includes a sofa and a TV, offering a casual space to rest or socialize. For leisure activities, guests can easily walk to Plaça d'Espanya (15-20 minutes) for parks and the Magic Fountain, or visit Camp Nou stadium (25 minutes on foot). The neighborhood itself is quiet and residential, suited for evening walks rather than nightlife. Public transport provides straightforward access to Barcelona's beaches and cultural attractions.
