HOTEL AIR PALACE LINGOTTO, Turin

The location is practical for those attending events at Lingotto Fiere or Palavela, and for visiting the Automobile Museum and the former Lingotto factory. Italia 61 metro station is within a short walk, providing direct access to Turin's historic center in minutes. Public buses to the city center stop nearby. The surrounding streets offer several supermarkets, bars and a self-service laundry. The neighborhood is quiet at night, though some areas may feel less lively after dark. For drivers, free street parking is scarce; the hotel's private paid garage (€15/day, reservation needed) is a reliable option. The hotel is a 30-minute drive from Caselle Torinese Airport.

The unit types available are double rooms with one bed. Each room comes with a wardrobe, heating, free toiletries, and an alarm clock. While the rooms are described as spacious and clean by many, some are noted as small or outdated in style, with tiled floors and simple modern furnishings. The private bathrooms are generally clean and recently renovated, though the shower cabin is compact and may not suit larger guests. The balcony often has the air conditioning unit installed, which can reduce usable space. Soundproofing between rooms is limited, so noise from adjacent rooms and the corridor can be audible. The windows and roll-down shutters allow the room to become completely dark, a feature appreciated for sleep quality. The dated decor and basic furnishings are functional rather than modern.

Breakfast includes a selection of croissants, pastries, cakes, cold cuts (mortadella, salami), bread, yogurt, and hot drinks including freshly brewed coffee. The buffet is described as varied and generally satisfying, though it relies on packaged items rather than freshly prepared dishes. The breakfast room is small, and during peak times you may need to wait for a table. There is no restaurant for lunch or dinner on site, but a bar is available for drinks. Several pizzerias and casual eateries are located within a 5-minute walk, such as Pizzeria Al Rahman and Fratelli di Piada. For self-catering, a supermarket (Crai) is just across the street.

Wi-Fi is free and works well in rooms, though some have noted weak signal in parts of the property. The 24-hour front desk facilitates late arrivals and early departures, and the staff are described as friendly. Express check-in and check-out are available at no extra charge. Daily housekeeping provides clean towels and bed-making, but room servicing after check-in may require a specific request. Luggage storage is free, useful for early arrivals or late departures. The lift is operational but may not reach all upper floors; some rooms on the fifth floor require using stairs from the fourth floor. Safety features include 24-hour security, CCTV, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and a safety deposit box in reception. Wheelchair-accessible rooms with grab rails and raised toilets are available. The property is non-smoking throughout, and the roof terrace is available, providing a view of the region's skyscraper.
