HOTEL BOLOGNESE, Rome

Hotel Bolognese occupies a historic building in a friendly, walkable area between Termini station and the ancient Porta Pia gate. Roma Termini, a 10-minute walk, connects to all metro lines, buses, and trains, including direct services to Fiumicino and Ciampino airports. The surrounding streets are lined with dozens of restaurants, cafés, and markets, making it easy to eat and shop without public transport. Bus stops are frequent, and car use is not recommended due to the lack of parking. The location allows most major sights - including the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and Spanish Steps - to be reached on foot in around 20-30 minutes, suiting travellers who prefer walking to public transport.

Breakfast at Hotel Bolognese is a continental offering with bread, rusks, biscuits, butter, jam, sometimes cheese or salami, and tea, coffee, or juice. It is included in most rates and served in the shared breakfast room until 10:30. The selection is basic and does not include hot dishes. There is no on-site restaurant, so lunch and dinner require going out. Dozens of restaurants serving Italian, seafood, and fast food are within a 5-minute walk, including Pinsere, REbasilico, and Al Grappolo d'Oro. Breakfast in the room is available.

The hotel offers a 24-hour reception, free Wi-Fi in all areas, and a shared lounge/TV area. Luggage storage is available for an additional charge. An airport shuttle service operates at a fee, and express check-in/out is also available for a charge. Daily housekeeping is free, while laundry, dry cleaning, and ironing are available at an additional cost. A safety deposit box, fax/photocopying, and bike tours are offered at extra charges. The building has no lift, and rooms are distributed across ground, first, and second floors. Reception staffing can be intermittent outside breakfast hours, so advance communication is advised for late arrivals.
