ICHECK INN MAYFAIR PRATUNAM, Bangkok

This location places guests within a 5-minute walk of Baiyoke Tower, Pratunam Market, and a 10-to-15-minute walk to Platinum Fashion Mall, Pantip Plaza, and CentralWorld. The free hotel tuk-tuk runs to the main street and Pratunam area until roughly 11:00 PM, bridging the dark alley path that leads from the station. The immediate lane is narrow and poorly lit at night, so the tuk-tuk is recommended after dark. Walking to Phaya Thai station takes about 5 minutes via a shortcut through a back alley, but first-time visitors should allow up to 10 minutes until they learn the route. For longer journeys, taxis from the hotel to Siam or Khao San Road cost 100-150 THB. The nearest mini-marts (7-Eleven and Family Mart) are a 3-minute walk away.

Standard and Deluxe options are similar in layout, with Deluxe offering slightly more floor space. All rooms include air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a refrigerator, a kettle, and a private bathroom with shower. Beds are very large and comfortable for most, though a minority find them hard or the pillows too thin. Critical issues reported in some units include noisy air-conditioning units that leak water or fail to cool, mold and broken tiles in bathrooms, a strong sewage smell in certain rooms (e.g., Room 205), and furniture that is visibly dated or damaged. Road-facing rooms and those on lower floors are exposed to train noise from the nearby railway, and the building is not fully soundproofed, so noise from the corridor and neighbouring rooms is audible. Rooms do not have windows that open, which can lead to a stuffy feeling. The televisions offer limited English channels. Lighting in some rooms is described as dim. For a quiet and cooler stay, a higher-floor room away from the lift and street is recommended. Extra pillows and toiletries are available for an additional charge or limited supply.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel but tends to be slow and unreliable in the rooms; the signal is stronger in the lobby. Daily housekeeping is provided upon request - guests should request room servicing and fresh linens actively, as it is not automatic for all. Luggage storage is free, useful for early arrivals or late departures. A safety deposit box is available at the reception. The gym on the rooftop contains a few cardio machines that are often broken or very outdated; it offers a view but is not suited for a proper workout. Fax and photocopying services are available for an additional charge. The hotel's key-card and 24-hour security provide a basic level of safety despite the dark surrounding lane. The staff can arrange a private taxi to the airport or other destinations. A spa facility with massage services for an extra charge is located on site.
