The hostel occupies a central position in the historic core, three minutes' walk from Museo de Arte Popular and 600 metres from Museo de Memoria y Tolerancia. The Metro Juárez station is two blocks away, giving direct access to other neighbourhoods and to Benito Juárez International Airport (10 km). The Zócalo main square is 2 km away, the Metropolitan Cathedral 2 km, and an ice-skating rink is also nearby. The block has a police station, so the area is safe for walking even in the evening. Multiple mid-range and street-food options line the surrounding streets, including at least six restaurants within 500 metres.

The hostel offers double rooms with a shared bathroom (one double bed), twin rooms with two single beds and a shared bathroom, and twin/double rooms with a private bathroom. A larger apartment includes a separate bedroom, a living room, a private bathroom and a kitchen with refrigerator. Dorms are 4-8 people per room - smaller than many hostels - with lockers located outside the sleeping area to reduce noise. All rooms are kept clean with daily housekeeping. Windows and a terrace or outdoor dining area are available in most room types. The beds are comfortable, though dorm beds have no privacy curtain. There is no air conditioning, but the city's altitude (over 2000 metres) maintains mild overnight temperatures. The property is on the 4th floor with no elevator.

Breakfast is included in the room rate and served on the rooftop terrace with panoramic city views. The offering is vegetarian with items like fruit, cake, hot dishes, and coffee or juice; options change each day. One of the two kitchens is reserved for vegetarian use. Both kitchens are large, well-equipped and free to use for self-catering. The dining area and terrace have communal tables where guests frequently eat together. Filtered drinking water is available at no cost. The surrounding streets provide a wide choice of mid-range restaurants, street food, and casual eateries, many within a five-minute walk.

The rooftop terrace offers panoramic views of the cityscape and the surrounding mountains, particularly striking at sunset and sunrise. Breakfast is served here, and it functions as a social hub throughout the day. The hostel runs regular activities including Lucha Libre nights (weekly), karaoke, movie nights, and film-themed evenings. Group outings to local events - for example, the Catrina parade during Día de Muertos - are also organised by staff. The shared lounge/TV area and the garden provide additional spaces to relax and socialise. Evening entertainment is available for an additional charge.

Wi-Fi is free and available throughout the building. Two self-catering kitchens are accessible at all times; one is vegetarian-only.
