MOLA SUITES, Madrid

This location in the true heart of Madrid is a major asset for sightseeing, with the Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, and the Prado Museum all within a comfortable walk. Sol station gives direct metro access across the city and to the airport. The immediate area is lively and very busy, with many restaurants, bars, and shops on the doorstep. The square (Plaza de Jacinto Benavente) has a high density of people, including street vendors and some rough sleepers, and nighttime noise from the street and nearby clubs is significant. Rooms that face the interior courtyard offer a much quieter experience.

The accommodation consists of spacious apartments ranging from studios to three-bedroom units. Each features a well-equipped kitchenette with a microwave, dishwasher, fridge, and washing machine - useful for families or longer stays. Many apartments are duplex-style with bedrooms on an upper floor. Rooms are generally large and comfortable, with good air conditioning and blackout curtains that help with sleep. However, noise is a recurring factor: street-facing apartments can be very loud at night, and some apartments have windows looking onto an internal light well with poor privacy and noise from neighboring units. Many units display signs of wear: painted grey walls (not white as in photos), damaged furniture, stained sofas, and dated bathrooms. Sofa beds are widely used for additional sleeping but are often reported as uncomfortable. There are no balconies.

Leisure options are limited to what is available in the common areas: board games and puzzles for families, organized walking tours (free), and movie nights with an additional charge. Pub crawls are also offered. For more extensive relaxation, guests need to explore Madrid's own offerings - Retiro Park is a 15-minute walk. There is no on-site pool, spa, sauna, or fitness center.

The 24-hour front desk is a strong practical asset for late arrivals or early departures, and can assist with taxi bookings and flamenco show tickets. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas. Paid services include: luggage storage via automatic lockers (from €2 depending on size and duration), laundry service, and an airport shuttle (pick-up and drop-off). The property is equipped with two elevators, key card access, and has facilities for disabled guests (lower bathroom sink, toilet grab rails, roll-in shower in some units). Air conditioning and heating are available but in some units can be difficult to control. Daily housekeeping is not included unless purchased separately.
